First Seminar with Pro.Speedy, Shout out to Grant and Baz

Jumping out of my bed at 1:55, I quickly grabbed my GI and ran out the flat. "Shoot, will I be late for the seminar?" I asked myself. I looked at the watch again and realized that it was 11:55, not 1:55. Feeling stupid and happy at the same time, I walked back and made myself a bowl of oatmeal.

Today I went to a seminar for the first time, which run by Professor Speedy. We started by doing drills to warm up. Pro.Speedy showed us many cool attacks from guard and knee ride. One thing I really like about Pro.Speedy was he spent time walking around to ensure that everyone had got the technique right. Then, we played some games applying prior technique. I had a chance to play with Professor Speedy's son, Tyrone. You could not tell from his performance that he was only 16. Anyway, he gave me a lovely triangle =)

After a period of hard training, Grant and Baz earned their stripes. Congratulations! Also, they will be competing on the 20th February in Scottish Open. Looking forward to that.

Good Bye Thailand.This is Scotland!

Saying Adios to my friends and family, I've decided to do my degree in Civil Engineering in Scotland. I was very anxious about training at first. I kept asking myself "will there be a place to train?" and "whom will the instructor be?" A few weeks later, I found an MMA academy, Dundee Mixed Martial Arts. The first time I met my instructor, Coach Paul, I was amazed by his hair style- who wouldn't? I was extremely happy to get back to train again after a month. The second time I went to train, the class was run by Coach Billy. Lucky me, I will be training with two instructors.

I have decided to write a blog about my BJJ journey to share you my experience, and also to keep me motivated. I hope you enjoy my journey.
